The cost of your car probably came down a lot compared to today's prices. Buying another used LS430 with lower miles or even a 460 is where you will gain some value on the sell in today's market. You can buy another used LS430 or 460 and start modding with a new project car with some cash to spare, but not with the 460.

I would definitely sell. You can take that money to buy a lower mileage, newer LS430 and build it up again, this time with more knowledge than before.

or.... LS460. If you go over to their forum, there are some really nicely done 460's I would love to have. You may even be able to pick one up for a decent price.

But hold fast to the person's offer of 35k as he may start to dicker down the price.

$35k is an awesome offer, but what you should do is 100% your personal preference, it depends on many factors that only you can decide.

Tell us what you end up doing!

Still waiting for his call, but more I wait, the more I don't want to let go.
Geez, I got attached to my car already
Anyway, what he said to me yesterday is he is trying to get the money together.
Well, I don't wanna call him anymore, he buys or not.... I think I will be more happy if he doesn't buy it.

Again it is all just preference, but for me, after driven all the fully loaded LS460 and 600 with executive seating package.....stared at them for a long time, I much prefer my LS430 Ultra in a lot of ways........

If there is no money involve, and I have to pick between a LS430 UL and a loaded LS460/600, I would take the 430.

If I can sell the 460/600, I'll take that, sell it and buy a 430 with cash left over. That's how much I love the 430 body

The 460 looks like a oversize ES350, not very unique like the 430.

I'll switch to the new body when all the good condition 430 runs out in this world, but not now

Same with the GS, I much prefer the 2nd gen more then the 3rd gen. I guess I am old now and prefer the old school stuff!

just my opinion, i think the new ls460 looks like a better 3gs than the 3gs to me, so basically i think the ls460 looks like a gs in many ways and the ls430 still seems like the flagship to me. the ls600 is a whole nother story though..

As a Lexus lover, I have the 460 and think it's an awesome car. But, I think I'd rather have a great car (LS 430) plus cash. That is, if I could sell it for a reasonable amount and buy the 430, I'd do it.

Black, comeon dude this is the answer---> <---and this is you.

Not to beat a dead horse but the obvious smart thing to do is put ur emotions to the side and do the smart thing. A 460 is a definite step up no matter which way you look at it.

If he's serious and comes with the cash its a no brainer. Otherwise continue to be apart of our disfunctional little family

He called me again, this time he told he he has a 2000 S500 as partial trade!
I straight up told him NO NO NO!!
I don't want a S!

I told him either he sells his S500 and give me 35K cash, or I will be more than happy to keep my LS.

BTW, I sold my SC300! Didn't even expect to sell it, but the buyer came up.

I want to keep it anyway,
she just had a bath and now is clean and shinny!

No I have LS430 and 99 Toyota Avalon, didn't buy the 01 ES300, I had enough fun with the 97 ES.
Now I sold my SC, don't know what to replace it with.
