Default Battery Replacement

Recently purchased a 2006 LS 430 with 29500 miles. Purchase from a non Lexus dealer, battery went dead, dealer replaced it and billed me. Visited a Lexus dealer and spoke with the road assistance individual and he said that Lexus would have replaced it at no cost.

Is this correct?

It's possible. The Lexus warranties are:

Basic (bumper to bumper): 4 yr. / 50,000 mi.
Drivetrain: 6 yr. / 70,000 mi.
Roadside: 4 yr. / Unlimited mi.
Rust: 6 yr. / Unlimited mi.

So, the battery could have been covered by either the B2B or the Roadside warranty.
