Default tire sensors

Where are the tire sensors? Are they on the valve stems? I like to change the valve stems every time I change tires, so how I do that and still have the sensors?

Thanks

No TPMS modules inside the tires on the LS430. The system in the LS430 uses the ABS system to determine if one wheel is spinning faster than another which would indicate a loss of tire pressure.

David-Well, there's good news and bad news here. First of all, yes, the sensors are built into the valve stem assembly inside the wheel and they're pretty expensive. I believe I've seen them on Ebay for about $55 a piece, and I'm sure that they are much more new. Here's a link that describes the system:

The good news is that they do not normally need to replaced every time like rubber valve stems. If you notice, they are made from metal and do not break down like rubber ones. They do have a battery internally that will eventually run out, but that must take several years, as I've seen ones several years old working fine. Hope this answers some questions.

David-Well, maybe I was wrong on this. I was going off of what I saw on the wheels I was selling several years ago when I had that side business.

Sorry for the mis-information.
