Default Seat movement

I recently purchased a 2006 LS430 drivers seat problem. When the unlock the doors and open the driver side door, the seat moves as far forward as possible. I have to stop the movement with the seat control as it is almost impossible to get into the seat and then have the seat adjusted by the preset door button for me.
In addition when I lock the doors the trunk remains open. I can open the trunk with the button underneath the lid.
Is it possible that all the above is the result of a new battery installation and something needs to be reaprogramed? everything else seems to work OK.

Your car apparently has the SmartAccess option. I think it is time to get out your owners manual and read about it.

Very strange. You car is acting like it has SmartAccess. With SmartAccess you can open the trunk simply by pressing the button on the trunk lid since the car senses that the key is nearby -- like in your pocket. And the car senses which SmartAccess key is being used and adjusts the drivers seat accordingly.

Very strange.

Here is a recent thread on SmartAccess: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=SmartAccess

Went to the Sarasota, FL Lexus dealer and explained my problem. Apparently the key had to be programmed to the car seat. As the second owner it cost $53.00 for the program plus $4.89 for a lighter fuse. I guess when you drive a Lexus you have to expect to pay.

However, the problem is solved and I think the cause stemmed from the battery replacement a few weeks ago.
