Thanks for the footwork BNR

I plan to drive mine as long as possible or until the itch to get a 460 (not likely) or an NSX (eventually), depending how fast the kids go to college

That was my concern whether I should get the extended warranty or not.
I have about 4k more to go before it runs out.
After talking to several techs and from reading the info here, the bags mostly go out AFTER the extended warranty expires. So much for that

Yeah I don't feel the 460 either, but I am very much in love with the NSX, every 2 years or so I feel an urge to own a NSX, then the urge goes away. I think I eventually will own one though when I get more extra cash laying around and have more garage space.

Yeah nothing would break on the LS430 within the extended warranty period.

$4000 for replacing shocks is no joke. How much do the regular shocks cost for non UL models?

The shocks by itself are $100~$150 each.

Mind you the UL strut is a whole assembly including the air spring and all mounting hardwares, so it is a little apple to orange.

No GTR yet?
Judging from your username, I thought you had a R34 before specially when you said you were a heavy modder!

My Dream garage is
LS460 Wald (Show), IS-F(Daily), LX570(hauler), 911 turbo(Highspeed cruising), Lotus Exige(track day ), CL63/M6(drag).

well i have 188k on mine and drives awesome like others that i drive at work with way fewer miles. My right front shock is leaking bad starting to make noise going over speed bumps so I know its getting dry inside. I needs to buy some soon my hookup at the dealer can get them to me for 700 each.
Side note I did the lower oil pan last weekend and could still see the cross hatch on the cylinder walls sweet car.

Yeah they are $700 wholesale, you don't even need a hookup for that price, www.lexuspartsworld.com would give that to anyone everyday.

But the rebuild one is $400, still $300 cheaper then wholesale OEM.

Oh you didn't know I did have a R34 before, I thought I told you, see this thread for pics:

You were right, my username was from when I had my R34s, I actually had 2 at one point, a 01' V-Spec II and a 02' V-Spec II Nur. I sold them both since then, gray market stuff are too much hassles.

What I meant was the next car I need is a R35 GTR.

Didn't you mean CL65? I am sure turbos are useful in a drag race

I love R34 more than 35!!
Last time I was in Japan, I saw a nice modded V-spec II Nur, my tears almost drop.

i used to be stationed with a guy in okinawa who married an okinawa chick who parents gave the guy a brand spanking new 2004 r-34 gtr v spec II midnight jade special addition as a marriage gift. i'm not a skyline freak at all, but that car was just unbelievable let alone like 1 of 2 on the whole island. i think he used to have it on a cardomain page but i think he took it down after he sold it for bank.

i'll be back in osaka in 15 days and i'll be on the look out for brabus's. i saw 2 last time and this is my favorite japanese tuner car. sorry lexus but brabus has it hands down... does lexus even have a tuner like amg or anything???
