Default Well, I finally got the 90k Service done on my 2004...

I had the timing belt and water pump replaced, along with a coolant flush and new air filter. I asked them to leave all the old parts in a trunk and they did.
This was Tansky Toyota in Dublin, Ohio and the charge was $990.

Lexus wanted MUCH more than that.

Downside - the rental car they gave me was a COROLLA!
Upside - Saved several hundred dollars, and they did wash my car!

I also asked that they do a tranny flush but they told me it didn't need to be done on my car, which has 110k. Thoughts?

Shlomboy, never in a million years think a car never needs a tranny flush. For years MB tried to say this, but it does. After 60,000 miles of continuous use on the same oils from factory a car will need a flush. I would get it done at that millage.

yea I agree w/ slybydesig I would do the tranny flush and not wait til 110K miles to do it.....better than having a dirty tranny.....and end up paying for it in the long run

my gmc envoy says that you don't need to do the diff fluid till 100k so I was like cool until 50k and the diff went out. dealer replaced warranty and now there is a TSB on the thing. My point is all oils will last forever its the additives in the oils that break down and cause wear and damage it internals. Every 30k on my LS and tranny is still real strong and I have a few on the clock 188k smooth and firm shifts still.
