That's the reason i don't drive my LS in the snow, i drive my yukon denali.
it's funy you mention that cause i was just outside and was this guy in a mustang just spinning his wheels on what looks like black ice...the poor guy was going no where fast

P.S. try and get yourself a beater if the finances are there, you can be driving good with no problems and the a$$hole speeding in the snow with bad brakes can hit your car.

As long as I have my RX, the LS will NEVER see snow. From a drivability and a "luxury" point of view, the LS will not be driven in snow. When I hit 200K and the car is 20 years old, then I might bring it out for a spin and some donuts.

On my way home, I saw several LS430s on the road and they were doing fine. I think as long as you keep to plowed roads, and not steep incline roads, then the LS will do fine.

I love my Michelin Pilots but they are SH*# in the snow. Actually I think they have a warning telling owners not to use them in winter driving. My LS sits in the garage during the winter. Last night we got 12 inches of snow here in muskegon mi. You just got to love a big SUV when that happens. Love my dodge durango. 'Don't love the MPG's though but I did not buy it for gas mileage (12 MPG), I bought it for days like today.

Be safe everyone and Merry Christmas.

If you get some snow tires you'll be fine. I'm running the new Michelin X-Ice 2 tires on my factory 18"s this winter. Handles very well in the snow\ice - much better than All Season tires.

I to worry more about others who cannot drive more than how the LS drives. I do fine with good allseason tires. Big downside is the snow and ice cakes up in the wheel wells real fast on this car. Wished I lived in the sun, but wisco it is and I drive my accord or van when it gets real deep. Stabilitrac is pretty foolproof in the snow you cannot fish tail.

had snow in Vegas couple days ago!
And I have 20's with Falken 452 with datasystem at "7"!! My car got half way on my driveway and slided off!! Geez, my rear bumper almost hit the ground when I slided off the driveway.

I had no traction whatsoever! Should have taken my Sequoia out.

^^^My grandparents left vegas just when it started snowing, and when they got back home here in new york, we got 8 inches of snow haha, we test drove an ls in the snow and lets just say, it was an experience, couldnt even get up the driveway, pulled the lx out, and well, used it to pull it out, as well as 6 other neighbors

Dedicated snow tires will solve your issue... I use to try to sneak through most winters on stock all seasons...or even summer tires..(with rear wheel drive cars) what a mistake... I purchased my first snow tires last yr on my gs430... night & day difference in driving... have an E55 now... and just got to play in the weather of yesterday/today... I'm like a snow plow...control is EXCELLENT! ...even if you only use them a few x a yr here in NY....just buy em', it's worth the peace of mind...

Didn't any of you guys push the traction button? Isn't that supposed to help with driving in show?
