LS-430 Leaky Driver Side Door Seals
My 2004 LS-430 just started to leak air at the top center of the driver's side front door. Is there an easy fix or must I get new seals on the door?
Running the window up and down or even just tapping the window down doesn't help.

I had a number of my window rubber seals replaced under warranty. Some were a little dry and slightly distorted so the dealer fixed that. Originally they tried to renew them in some way which made it look a little better, but in the end they just replaced them.
I think you'll have to get new seals. Maybe ask the dealer how much they'd charge for this.

Thanks for the reply. Dealer says that the four door seals are all dried out and should be replaced because they will all leak air while driving, even at low speeds on surface streets. His cost estimate was only (?) $1,600...... I said that I'd get a Honda instead!

Yes - mine were dried out as well. They did a good job or 'renewing' the rubber actually at the dealer initially, but i have no idea how they did it. I opted to have them replaced under warranty as the outer rubber (not the window) was torn on the rear doors. At that point the dealer just decided to replace them all under warranty which was fine with me
Of course, this was just before the initial 4 yr/50K expired. The extended warranty doesn't cover this though.
I'd contact Sewell Lexus Parts and see how much this costs. Their online site has the list of parts you'll need. Most of the moulding look like $100+ each though if you want to get new ones
