Let's talk about cooled seat mods.
Can we put another model's seats in our LSs? Our at least another model's internals into our seats?
I h8 it that a $40K ES350 has a superior seat than my $74K UL.

Why do you think the ES seat is superior? Just fit you better?
The ES doesn't have cooled seats like the LS... it just has ventilated seats.

When I got my loaner last time, I did feel that the ES had a better cooled seat than my LS...by the way ventilated seat and cooled seats are the same thing!! It is just a fancy way of saying cooled seats!!
Toyota like most other manufacturers like to exaggerate the description of the options soooo they sound better when you pay top dollars!!

Good question-I have also wondered if there was a way to "turbocharge" the seats. One thing I'm not clear on is whether the LS seats are actually cooled, or are they just ventilated. I know that the seats draw air through that little filter under the seats, so apparently they are not blowing air conditioner air. If they are just ventilated, it would seem easy to just put a more powerful blower in and increase the air flow.

I just got my 06 LS430 in December and have only used the Heated portion so far. Are the air cooled (ventilated) seats that bad in the LS? I've got to believe that if the new ES is better (I've also heard that about the 07 LS) then Lexus has had to have made some improvements that can/cannot be made to the older LS. Will have to ask my service tech next time I'm in for service.
