Nice day up North yesterday so I drove 200 miles down the 401. I am getting a pulse and vibration when braking as well as vibration through the steering wheel at certain speeds. The rotors were turned by the dealer when I bought it. Has anybody had bad luck with machining rotors on a Lexus?

It could be wheel balance, but the fact that it occurs while braking makes me think it's a rotor problem. I had the same symptoms recently on my 2001 LS430 after a brake job-- pads replaced and rotors turned. I took the car back to the shop. They checked the front rotors and found both were out of true. They re-turned the rotors and everything is smooth now.

Sounds like a rotor to me. How many miles do you have on your LS? I just got mine and there's a slight vibration while breaking. It has 73K with pads changed once.
