On the way to work this morning, the volume control (both steering wheel & head unit) locked up and stopped working. Very weird.

The I could still change the channels using the steering wheel and HU, turn the power on and off, and control the bluetooth from the steering wheel.


after about 3 or 4 mintues of driving, it seemed to "catch up" with the commands i had given. The volume dropped down to he "mute" level i had set on the steering wheel (and was the last button I pressed before i stopped fooling with it).

Anyone else ever experience this?

Did this problem ever happen again? I just put in a parrot bluetooth kit and when I reinstalled the head unit I experienced the same problem with fixed volume that you mention in your post from three years ago. I was wondering if it happened again and if so did you have to do anything to fix it.

you are not alone see my tread: (weird stereo problems). I have exactly the same problems and from the time I posted the tread it has actually gotten worse. My horn is also affected.
