Just got this 2002 LS430 with 72,000. Car is very clean and has been serviced by Lexus dealer since new. We had owned a 1997 LS400 with 202,000 miles and was still going strong when we sold it to buy the 2002.
Have been reading past posts and have learned a lot, thanks to all that are willing to share. Hope the picture loaded.

It has the Sport package which I assume is the euro suspension that you refer to. It has the little emblem on the front fender. Thanks I had to look for a while for one that had the chrome wheels, but now even my wife agrees it was worth the time.

It looks just like mine except yours looks like gray interior, and I have black. Gray is much more practical. I have the chrome wheels too, which I have grown to love. They look great, and they don't gather brake dust.
I love the silver that was used up until 2003, and I much prefer it to Mercury Metallic (no offense 2004+ folks). Sometimes, I look and wish I had the 04 and up, and then others I prefer my older looking lights, etc. I go back and fourth.
Welcome to LS430. You have a great car, and I am encouraged that you went 202k on your prior 400.
Great car. Congrats.

Thanks for the welcome to the ls430. Have had it for a couple of weeks and just love it. I do like the silver with grey interior and the chrome wheels, takes me back to my high school days when I put chrome hub caps on my 1954 Chevy 6 cylinder.
I was the second owner of the ls400 and it had its oil changed every 3,000 miles and other fluids change when suggested and I believe that car will go another 100,000 miles easily.
Looking forward next week-end so I can get the ls430 out again.

You will love some of the extras that will crop up over the next few weeks..
Folding Mirrors
Mirrors that tilt down while in reverse
Wipers that turn on by themselves.
Motorized head rest.
Butt Coolors.
PUPPY WARMERS
Rear shade.
Voice activated NAV system.. Have fun figuring out how to work it... LOL
Car saying hello to you as you pass by it with key in pocket.
Window all open with holding down the unlock button on the fob.
DAMN CUP HOLDER IN THE WAY
Moving bottom of driver seat for long legged guys and ladies
Swivel air vents in the middle.
Little buttons under the dash.
Coin Holder..
Usless Ashtray
Stupid Glove box door.
Great pickup and GOOOOOOOOOOO
28 miles to the gal on highway at 60ish Using cruise control
Now if you had a Ultra, more goodies to come.
Make sure you wax the car as soon as possible. Twice is even better, Use a good wax, like McGuries or Lexus wax.. Also use the spray Detail between waxes.. The bugs will almost fall off with a bit of spray..
If use Tire Spray,, careful about getting it on the Brake Rotors.
Hope I did not spoil your fun.. but these little things are so darn cute that they make you feel like a prince.. LOL

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to CL. Car looks real clean.
I have the same exact model except with the ecru interior and just passed 83K in miles with no probs whatsoever. Its a great ride.
When you feel up to it you might consider changing out your tails to the LED's...much cleaner and updated look than the orange stripe.
In the meantime, enjoy the ride.

The car looks nice! My advice is to stay away from us! Unless of course you want to spend all of your extra cash modifying your LS and posting up all the pics of your mods. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)
