In short NO!

You need a high heat paint that can handle the heat braking produces, you have paint that is for the right conditions.

You can not go wrong either way.... Black has the stealthy look and silver stands out more.... you have pics of both in this thread!!

My bad, I thought you were talking about spray paint from Home Depot or something. I'm sure spray paint would work just fine, I just went with what I knew based on friends & etc.

Gents....opinions please. I've been lazy and havent painted mine yet. (Even tho i told Tee i was after he did his) But i've got a silver LS, what color should i paint mine.

Red...to bright, doesnt match
Black....not in the color scheme of the car....(maybe)
Silver....(maybe) i kinda wanted a lil contrast so you can easily see them.

Suggestions????

Hey man, you should paint them Black or Silver, here is a pic of my previous 95LS silver with silver caliper pics.... they looked very well. Silver with black letters would make your car have that shopisticated touch!!

If I had a silver LS, I would do silver with black lettering.

I have a silver ms and I just picked up the red dupli kit...now u got me debating. I ordered metallic silver lettering for motogfx. I originally wanted to do black with the silver lertering but I have a fuller faced rim so u really can't see the calibers anyway. But now I'm torn. On another note I went to a local shop to see how much they would charge to do the job and they were like 500 I quickly gave them the stone face and walked out they were sayin they were gonna have to take the brakes off, paint, reasemble the brakes back on yada yada yada. I'm goin to just take my chances with the kit. Tee how hard would u rate the difficulty of the process keep in mind I'm a complete noon just tryin to learn. I watched the video but those thing always make it look easy.

here's my baby( she's a work in progress but the recessions killin me),Im leanin toward red but now Im even considering silver tho I definately dont think it would stand out at all. I guess Ill prolly do red just cuz its goin to be super super subtle and will give just enough pop! And Im tinting my taillights tomorrow!

You will barely, if not at all, be able to see the calipers with those full face wheels.

Cool I appreciate it Tee, sorry for sounding repetitve. Im just scared to mess my baby up, to bad I dont have my beater RX anymore to practice on. Just a couple more quick questions. They recommend a 24hr period before driving the vehicle again, how long did the process take you from start to finish? and how is the paint holdin up Ive heard from others that the paint chipped and cracked, has this been a problem for you?
