Is it worth $3000.00 for Lexus Certified?

Now BMW must know something, or at least not like loosing sales to Lexus, as they offer a FREE maintenance package with many of their cars, at least that's what I understand they are offering.
Not a bad idea in the scheme of things. If it's free to operate / maintain, it's a safe bet

I'm not defending it one way or the other, but …
Having the cost for "FREE" maintenance build in, is somewhat like Lexus Certified Used Car warrenty having a $3,000.+ price added to the car to be certified - right?
We all know at some point … we the consumer is paying for anything that's "Free" it's just a matter of how we pay, why we pay or how much we are willing to pay.
As the old saying goes - "You can pay me now, or you can pay me later, it's all up to you".

Will you break 100K in 3 years?
If you're gonna get a LS with Ultra-lux package, then i would DEFINITELY get the CPO!! Why? Well, it is pretty clear from my research that the air suspension will die before 100k miles. And to replace all 4 electronic shocks, you will need to pay around $5000-6000 dollars. Apparently, these shocks will all fail at some point around 50-100k miles. So, just right there, you have made a "profit" on the CPO warranty....

Holy smoking fire !!!!
Now that's some mileage to be putting on. You sure you want to get a LS430UL then? This means even with the 3/100K basic, you'll blow that in like 2 years or less and then you'll peak the 100K. 35K/year would tell me you do a lot of highway? If so, those are "easy miles" and I don't think typical things that could go wrong will go wrong before 100K, so you're at the far extreme of it not being worth it either.
Still... over the 35K/year.

Yeah, a shiet load of highway miles.
Right now it's 4 months into my current car (that I'm hoping to sell for a Lexus) and I've got 13,500+ miles on it (a 2008 Toyota Avalon).
I'll do 2+ trips to Florida, 3+ to South Carolina, 6+ to New York, MANY throughout New England for sure.
All from Central Maine area.
I'm an on the road salesman - selling Advertising Specialties, Car Dealer Supplies and anything else I can sell. Not to mention 5 weeks vacation per year.

Each Florida trip is good for 4,000+ miles
Each South Carolina trip is good for 2,500+ miles
Each New York trip is good for 1,000+ miles
Trips to Boston, Vermont, New Hampshire add 100's of miles each time.
Vacations add 5,000 miles to the odometer and all the while my *** get's a bit sore
