I parked next to a LS430 with the "crooked stance" at lunch time, sure enough, it is a UL

I can spot a UL from a mile away

I am pretty certain now that all UL was build crooked like that. The ones that are not crooked we see on the road, someone adjusted the sensors.

Could it be that they did it on purpose so that the 300 pound driver wouldn't have a sagging front left 5 years down the road?

My CL sits incredibly high (compared to my LS400). The first thing that you notice when they are side by side is how much taller the 430 is.
I was kinda glad that the 430 I found didn't have the potential maintenance cost with air.
We're empty nesters so the goodies in the back seat didn't really matter. I'm glad I have the rest of the UL features.

That would make sense if it doesn't self level, but that is the whole purpose of the air suspension, it self level itself. So doesn't matter how much weight you put in that driver seat, it would still sit crooked like that.

Yeah if you don't need the back seats goodies, the CL is the way to go. I want the goodies, so I buy an UL and rip out the air suspension

Yeah, my "logic" doesn't make much sense in restrospect.
I've never noticed a lopsided LS430 but I don't know that I've ever seen an ultra.

thanks for clarifying this non air suspension option outside of the UL BNR34... I bought the UL purely for the air suspension = datasystems controller

Well now that you know about it, you will notice it next time you see one.

It is the only way to tell if it is an UL from the rear, with the lopsided stance. And it always tilt to the right

It looks like this. The tilt is not dramatic, but definitely very noticeable if you pay attention. Everytime I see a tilted LS430, I go up and check the curtain hook on the rear side window, yup, it is an UL everytime. It might be a Southern California thing, but every 10 LS430 I see on the street, more then half of them is an UL!

i tried my best to level mines out by adjusting the front sensors rods, i think i did a fairly good job. i kept measuring the front wheel gaps while the car was running and got it to within 1cm of each other. This difference in height got me so frustrated and pissed off.

When i first started to adjust the front sensors i didn't take into account that they may be different by design or stock it you will and i dropped each front rod 3 full sensor bar rotations, measured them, and one side was like a half inch to 3/4 inch different (driver side was much higher). it took me a while to get them as close as i think they are right now...

but if the sensors auto adjust like everyone keeps saying, does this mean that since mines are about even from my adjusting when the car is parked that when they auto adjust that they will be way off when driving.??? can anyone explain some more science to this??

Wow. I'm in the Carolinas and I just checked some dealers totaling more than 30 LS430's. None were UL's. Must be a regional thing. Most here are Modern Luxury with a spattering of Premium.

I just did a quick search on autotrader, there are 15~20 ULs listed within 500 miles of South Carolina.

Seeing stock UL with the crooked stance always make me think of low rider with their hydraulics lean

Maybe Lexus set up the UL to be gangstar like that intentionally!! Is like, look at me, this is a UL!!

Ha, ha. That would be cool with a couple of grey hairs leaning out the window.
Looks like a 66 chevy impala. Had one of those and it was a super sport back in the day.
