Caliper Bolt Torque LS430
Just replaced the front Rotors on my LS430. Dealer recomended changing the Caliper bolts. I ended up using the same bolts, that looked perfect. Any real danger there? Also, Can't find the torque specs for those bolts.

The flange bolts should be replaced each time they are removed because they are torqued where they "warp" in a sense, so although they may not look "bad" they are in fact not good anymore. If I'm not mistaken, they are not that much, $5 each or something. At 8 x $5 = $40, are you really going to risk a failure of one of them?

According to the mechanic shop manual it says 25 ft pound.
I took them off and looked into the threads and the hole . The threads looked very fine . I wouldn't torque these bolts very much it's all aluminum in there and it will be very easy to strip them. I ordered new ones and it does have a small amount of red thread locker on them. I will put be putting a bit more just in case. But with 25 ft pounds and red thread locker it should be ok .

They are stretch bolts so technically you should change them but almost no one ever does. 81 is the correct amount or you can back it off 5-10 and add blue loctite to avoid stretching the bolt again if you want to reuse them
