Is Replacing Seat Filters Worth $29/each?
As most of us know, the vented & cooled portions of the heated/cooled seats is barely perceptable, if at all.
I also know that changing the seat filters will probably will not make a significant increase in the venting/cooling. I have heard the heated portion works flawlessly. I just haven't had the chance to test the heat yet.
My question is this...with a vehicle that has ~45k miles on it, is it worth it to spend $29 for each under seat filter? I am thinking of replacing them in addition to the main cablin/AC filter (behind the glovebox).
The system IS saying REPLACE A/C filter, so was thinking I should just change all the interior filters at the same time. (that's just how my mind operates).
Would $58 (for OEM) underseat filters (both) just be a waste...or is it worth it?
All opinions welcomed.
Thanks.

This has been discussed at length in older threads. The coolers in the LS430 seats are a joke. Replacing a filter will not fix the root of the problem, which is a bad original design. I wouldn't waste the money, personally...

Replacing a filter for seats that don't work that well anyway is a load of you know what. I called an online Lexus dealer online when I was getting ready to replace my filters and they came out and said don't waste the money on them. The guy said take the filters out, reverse blow them with a hair dryer, and then put it back in.
I've done that already and like others have said... not a bit of different. I almost think just remove the filters.
As for the heating, yes, it works much better. It has a temp control of some sorts because it doesn't just heat and heat and heat and heat until your lower back is burnt. It gets a nice comfy warm...
