i think mikethemareen is just pissed about something and trying to take it out on the 04-06 ls folks. maybe he got low-balled when he took his 01 to carmax to trade it in or something he never did actually answer my question from earlier in this thread about

""so mikem. what vehicles do you currently own, for how long, and how much did you acquire them for. your comments may be all relative, but for me i would need this info before making that assumption??"" still waiting..... ..... .....

i agree with UGK and sail about the 04-06 ls market though and not just cuz i got one (UL) towards the higher end of that range, or maybe it is???? hmm.....

Default Upgrade... don't go executive...

Audio and AC control in the rear arm rest, massage rear seats, Alcantara headliner, radar cruise control with PCS......etc. It is identical to a UL, actually it offer more since the side shades are power. And that is not a fixed center console, all the controls is in the fold up center arm rest just like the 430 UL.

The executive seating package offer the lazy boy with the ottoman, and the fixed center console with the table, and the LCD screen on the roof with the DVD player.
EXCELLENT... but too bad I won't be getting a LS460. Love my 430 and nothing on the 460 besides "looking" newer will make me swap. I'll wait for the next generation LS.... or the one following if next stinks too.

Same here, I much prefer the LS430, the only thing from the LS460 I want is the power side shades

Let's put it this way, if I have the choice of a 06' LS430 UL and a 07' LS460L with the above options I mention. They are identical in condition, mileage, color combo, price.......etc. I would take the LS430

Unless I can sell it, then I would take the more valueable LS460L, sell it, then go buy me a 06' LS430 UL

Sounds like mikemareen is hating Lexus and really want a CLS Benz.

I agreed with UGKkllr, Salil022 and I6turbo, I don't see any immaculate low mileage 04-06 UCF3x on the market for under $20k, even base model.

Here are some recent Manheim auction prices for 06' LS430, the only ones that are barely lower then $20k are below average condition with high mileage 50k~90k+. And these are prices pay by wholesellers, not retail customers.

I have seen below average condition cars at Manheim auction, the interior looks and smells like a truck stop public toilet, I refused to even sit in it

Auction prices are great information for someone looking to get the best deal. Appears that our LS430's in great condition are going to hold their value in the years to come. Especially if the LS460 is not widely accepted. Where can we find sales figures for LS430 vs LS460. Poor sales could signal a new or revamped model of the LS460.

You cant even really get a clean ultra luxury from Manheim auctions. We have manheim here in VA and of course the big one in PA and very few clean low mile UL's ever pass thru there if any at all. When a dealership gets a clean ls430 they usually sell it on their lot since the demand is so high.

The only ones that dealers sell at the auction is the ones that are sub par which they know they cannot sell at retail on their lot or offer a warranty on. Those end up in the hands of some non english speakin wholesalers who have nothing but a trailer and a lot , not even a receptionist lmao. If you arent gettin it from a franchised dealership or a private owner then you are buying a piece of crap, that I can almost garuntee you. You know the type of cars and dealers im talkin bout too....And its not even bout price either, theres just very very few clean 04-06's in good color combos with good options out there at all unless we're talkin CPO cars at lexus dealerships that they want 36 grand for. Theres tons of white on tans and blue on tans but the black and silver on blacks with under 60k miles are few and far between. Im tryin to buy one in texas right now that seems like its the right car but Im bout 6 grand short and currently tryin to pull the funds together. Im sure it will sell out from under me like all the rest have. Its a black on black 2004 ultra luxury with 38k miles for under 27 grand!! Oh and salil, sounds like you bent that dealership over with no lube gettin 23 out of your '03, kudos to you sir.

Hmm, I have a feeling my idea of the "good" vs. "bad" color combinations may be different from some other posters. I'm just not a fan of black interiors or exteriors, except to look at someone else's nicely maintained one. Too many years in the summers of oven-like LA, I suppose.

Back to the subject of prices: I just finished my search, and am buying an 04 CL with 38k miles from a private party, in Black Cherry Pearl and Ecru. I found that the 05 CLs were running about $5-6k more with similar mileage. There weren't many of them. The car we are buying is about 1,000 miles away. I'm looking forward to the first road trip, and expect to be staying up late reading the owner's manual.

what was crazy is they did not even see my LS...as i went there with my friend in his car and i had no intentions of buying an IS-F...I put an offer on the IS-F and after some negotiations we settled at 53k and after that i told them only way i am going to do it if i get good money for my LS430...First he pulled out his black book and telling me how much LS430's are bringing 17-18k at auction and i told them how my car is not a regular 430 and i am not taking less than 24k...it is an immaculate UL with no dings or any paint work...it took some time but we agreed at 23k for my LS since they did not even see my car, so i bought the IS-F and they sent one of their guys to pick up my LS...It was very sad to let her go

yeah sailil022 i still think i shulda bought your old ls430 from you, but i guess our timing was a little off.

BTW my best color combos are white on ecru and flint mica on ecru (that light tan beige color), i also like looking at a nicely cared for black exterior, but black interior does not do anything for me... i'm also form FL so it gets hotter than a motha down there and black (ext or int) is just not ideal in the sun
