Does Anyone LS 430 Have Wind Noise

I found a level stretch of road, so decided to see what the LS would do.. Never heard wind noise even when the tachometer read 4500 and the other needle pointing north of 120.. Of course, my wife was hold her breath the whole time, and it only took a few seconds to accelerate to that speed. Might I say it was a very smooth climb. The Avalon seemed very light in handling over 90 when we tried to see what it would do.

Just returned from a 14 hour round trip to south of Atlanta and did hear some wind noise at 75 mph and up. However, the trip was "sprung" on me, and I didn't have time to clean and dress the 2002 LS430 as usual (done about every 2 - 3 weeks). This includes a complete internal and external vacuum, good wash, followed by at least a qd, window cleaning including the top of all door windows, cleaning inside the door frames and then qd'ing them, dressing the "rubber" (including the window tracks), and making sure there is no "trash" around the hood, trunk, wipers, etc. Usually, at 80 or so, I only get wind noise with strong side winds. BTW, sometimes the externior mirrors will cause wind nise. Did you try driving with them turned in?

I like the one from Turtle wax... clear and leaves no residue on the black rubber gaskets... I also have the Lexus bucket, and love the spray nozzle. but not too happy with some of the other products that comes with the package. The chamois is a joke. and much rather use the Shamwow type from Walmart, with a Microfiber towel. Of course I only use it once a week, and wax maybe every other week,,, If i happen to hit a bit of rain... Bugs just seem to slide off with the amount of wax on the Baby..
But I heard that Wax does not build up. Any comments to that>>

I think both of the LS340's I've had were quieter than anything else I've ever driven, including the LS460. Definitely not any wind noise that I would even think of complaining about. And I'm VERY picky about noise and vibrations in vehicles.
HOWEVER, this has been mentioned here before in years past and it seemed that a few of the cars were somehow making an inordinate amount of wind noise. IIRC, one guy had his windshield replaced and it went away (which I'd think must mean that it had something to do with the positioning or trim or something, not with the surface of the glass itself).

You should try some Michelin Cross Terrain or Latitude Tour tires (the LT is a new, supposedly even quieter replacement for some CT sizes). The CT's on my GX470 are perhaps the quietest tires I've ever owned, and that includes the OEM 17's on the two LS430's and many other OEM and aftermarket tires.
