what about this car? i think i can get a good deal with this one?
Looks good from what one can see in the ad. I wouldn't pay too much attention to what that dealer says though as he apparently doesn't know much about LS cars -- says that one has "every possible option," but in fact it's an ML -- 3 levels down from the top-of-the-line. LOL

Get modern luxury is all you want is Nav and ML. If you want the lovliness of suede, more leather on the interior, and headlamp washers, then upgrade to the CL... because that double pane (some say pain) glass makes it that much more quiet inside when you're getting your groove on with your honey inside a 5% tinted LS430...

True, but I didn't wanted to list EVERYTHING that the CL has to offer or the OP might fall in love and HAVE TO get the CL (or UL)...

ML is nice... but once you get a CL or UL, you'll never regret not getting a ML...

The car you listed...I am not diggin' the interior. The Lexus I bought has a ecru interior...and now I do not like dark interiors whenever I am in a car that has it. People say that lighter colored leather is harder to maintain...I guess I will see that in time...but for now think about looking at different interior colors.
Just a thought.
Cheers,
Ian
Good mileage though, but I wouold try and talk then down $2000.

Is it a mis-print that the HP and Torqe dropped in 2006? 2004/2005 says HP 290@5600 & 320ft lbs @ 3400 , yet the 2006 is HP 278@5600 & 312 ft lbs @ 3400. That seems odd.

Funny you say this. I still have my 02 Acura 3.5RL..champagne exterior w/taupe (medium tanish color) leather interior. When searching for my LS, the only thing I knew was that I needed BLACK leather and nav. I think it's the most classy looking---combined with the darker burled walnut wood...or maybe I wanted black leather after having a light colored leather car for several years?...

Of course, this was just my perspective. That's why God makes vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.

PS---ROTWEILER...I JUST REALIZED THIS...THIS DEALER IS LESS THAN 5 MINUTES FROM MY HOUSE. WHERE IN NJ ARE YOU? DO YOU WANT TO CHECK OUT THAT LS THIS WEEKEND? EMAIL ME DIRECTLY VIA THIS SITE!

Correct.

However, that doesn't mean the 2006 cars are less powerful. All are 290hp, or 278hp, depending on if you want to use the older SAE rating method/standard or the 2006+ one...

so an 04 ls430 without navi doesn't come with the mark levinson package?

I thought all 04+ comes with this feature, including base model.

Chill Alex before you give all us ML owners a complex or something. I think all the trims are nice just depends on what you want out the LS, just owning LS430 is a prize in it self. The LS430 in any trim is a great car!

I agree, I have the premium package with smart access and love my care. Not a Ultra, or a CL or even a ML. But it is still a 430 rather than any other car, and I still have plenty of options and fun. Saved a ton of money also.

Correct. No Navigation = No Mark Levinson system on the '04+ models as well. I wasn't really interested in Navigation itself, so I compared side-by-side the Non-ML system and the ML system. There is a lack of depth and detail in the Non-ML system compared to the ML. This was with the two '05 cars parked side by side and getting out of one and into the other repeatedly and comparing them on the same source material.
