Widest Wheel Width on a stock LS430

Ok, so you got me sold on the 19s. Good call on the BFGs as I had done some research and found them to be favorable among high end car owners. I am now wearing Kumho Solus KH16 with which I replaced my Pirelli with only 11k miles (The worst tires ever). I must say that the Kumho surprised me, even now at 36k mile they are still fairly quite. Too bad they don't make them in 19". BFG it is.
Awesome feedback from you both. Thanks.

Good luck.
P.S. My '05 LS had a near-new set of 17" Khumos on it when I got it and I agree they were pretty impressive -- almost as good as the Bridgestones in the same size that I put back on my prior LS when I sold it.

Keep in mind that these are the newer "Plus" version. According to Michelin people whom I know (and the marketing claims, but I don't pay much attention to anyone's marketing fluff), they are significantly improved over the prior version before the Plus designation. The earlier version is still on the market in some sizes, I believe.

Just to be sure we're clear, I'm recommending MICHELIN Pilot Sport A/S PLUS for the LS430 with the appropriate 19" wheels. I only mentioned the BFG's as a drag radial for the Supra -- not as a tire for the LS. In my Supra experience, the BFG street tires are louder and harsher riding than Michelins, but I've never had any 19's of the size and style that would fit the LS, so I can't comment on BFG's for the LS with 19's.
Good luck.

Im looking to purchase rims soon, 20x9 fronts and 20x10 in the back. Does anyone know what offsets would give me the most lip without having to mess with the fenders too much???
I briefly skimmed thru the thread so sorry if this was answered already....

hey leroy are you set on 20's cuz both me and beez are selling our 19's and we are both local and cheaper than new. his are nice and mines just got the lips completely redone so they look like brand spanking new... good deal if ur interested.

Yea I think im gonna stick with the 20's. I've been talkin to Beez and might actually take a look at his this weekend if they arent gone by then. I think if I get 19's im gonna regret it and wish I had the 20's tho. So your letting yours go too......u gettin somethin new?

i am always in the market for some new wheels ... my goal or thinking is that my wife let me get away with a 1k or so budget last time so if i can get those monies back and then put another 1k into the wheels budget i can hopefully achieve some nicer ones... i'm still stuck on the 19's but maybe a slightly different say mesh design this time. who knows what may be available when i start my search.
i had 20's last time and although they looked so good parked i regretted it in the ride quality department...

also forgot to mention:
are you considering lowering it at all. i know its a UL so the options are a little limited but putting rims our car without lowering it often times looks a little goofy.
