Unhappy Sat radio installtaion

I am wondering what would be the problem having the sat radio installed outside of the Lexus dealership? I have the option button on my radio why is the installation cost $1000.00? I am wondering what all I require to have the sat radio.

I ordered a Vaistech SLQ and Sirius receiver (about $230 for the pair) and installed it myself, except for the Sirius antenna. I couldn't figure out how to get the antenna routed outside my '04 UL. Had a stereo shop do the honors. Integrates with the stock radio very well, displays song title, artist, etc right on the Nav screen.

Do a forum search on XM radio....easy install in your trunk if you have the navigation/ML head unit all you need is the module/antenna. Google the part number 86100-0W091 for a reputable dealer. Module runs less than $300.
