Besides if I'm not mistaken there are some LS430's running front wheels with similar specs to your rears.
I understand those things are contributors to fitment, but the fact is that if MY 8.5" wide front wheels were +22 offset like his, my wheels (not the tires) would stick out .45" BEYOND the outer fender (my tires would stick out .7", but that's not really relevant). I measured my clearances this morning -- the tires (at the widest point on the sidewall) are .125" inboard of the outer fenders, the wheels are another .250" inboard of that, so the result is that the wheels are .375" inboard of the outer fender plane. If you subtract 21-mm of offset from my wheels (which would give my wheels the same offset as his), they would be sticking out .45" past the fender. Surely he isn't running that much negative camber -- enough to tilt the tops of the wheels/tires in .45" plus enough for clearance for the lip, inner fender panel, etc. Of course the narrow, stretched tires could allow the latter clearance, but I don't see his wheels sticking out .45" beyond the fender at any point, unless the photos are playing tricks on me.

In the rear, if MY wheels were 10.5 wide instead of 9.5, and had +30 offset instead of +45, they'd stick out .59" excepting for any additonal negative camber. And keep in mind that doesn't allow for the lip or inner fender panel, though again, the stretched tires would give clearance. But again also, I don't see his wheels sticking out .59" at any point. (My tires are presently .250" inboard, and wheels are .5" inboard of the outer fender plane.)

His specs would be more understandable if the wheels were actually a bit narrower than stated, otherwise it just seems that there's a difference in the measurements somehow. It just seems that if I put Volks on my car with the offsets claimed for his wheels, they'd stick out well beyond the fenders.

I've done this sort of measuring and calculating the resulting positioning on a couple of cars I've owned, then ordered custom wheels based upon the calculations, and the fitment/positioning turned out precisely where it was projected. But in this case, I can't reconcile it... Who knows.

I see where you are coming from I6. I had my wheels and tires installed on my 99 LS 2 days before I got my Megan coilovers installed and they stuck out a lot at stock height. I was a little nervous but they tucked in nicely. As I posted earlier I am running 245/35/20 on 20/9/+38 front and 275/30/20 on 20/10.5/+45. I will switch to 245/30 or 235/30 front and either 285/30 or 295/25 rear next tire change. The front slightly rubs the liner and I can go wider in the rear. I may need some slight fender mods but its cool.

Default LS430 Rims/Tires

Junjdm, I'm new to the board and was checking out some of the info you posted about tire size. Today I went to local rim shop and was told that since I have a large caliper on my car that my rim options are limited. The Lumarai Morro was highly suggested with Falken tires. After looking at your profile picture it appears that other rims will look pretty good on my ride. Can you suggest some....
