Default Recommended tires (20X8.5 and 20X10)

I'm thinking of buying a set of staggered 20's. I wanted to see if anyone was running a similar set-up.

20X8.5 And 20X10

What tire sizes would you guys recommend for an LS430 on a stock suspension. Also, what about on a lowered LS430 with Tanabe NF210s.

Any recommendations on tires?

Thanks for the help, and sorry if this has been covered before.

Hey TJW, Your tire selection is going to really depend on your wheel offset. For example on my 99 LS I have Vossen VVS 078 in 20"/9" +38 front and 20"/10.5" +45 rear and my tires are 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear. Your car can handle slightly more aggressive offsets front and back to achieve the same fitment as i have.

Find out what the offsets are of the wheels you would like to get and post those up and one of the more experienced wheel gurus can help you out.

really depends on if this is going to be a summer only tire, but bridgestone recently introduced its 760 line. Great tire.

I have the 960 line on my current 18s.

The offsets are 35 and 40.

20X8.5 + 35

20X10 + 40

Secondly, will these fit. Someone had told me they think they might not but, I wanted a second opinion.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus is my recommendation. I have them in 245/40 and 275/35 19's and they are awesome tires for the LS, IMO -- smooth, quiet, excellent steering feel, and look good.
I'm a picky sonofa***** when it comes to tires, particularly re: noise and ride quality on a car like the LS.

i think you meant ^ ^ ^ 245/40 for the front tire size cuz this is what you just put on another post, i just didn't want any confusion for the potential tire buyer.

Yes! Thanks -- I corrected the mistake in the above post. I did have 45's on the on my other LS and they are a bit too tall IMO, all things considered, even if you are looking to stick with a taller tire for a little better comfort and quiet.

Looking at those photos and the width/offset numbers, it really makes me wonder if all manufacturers do their measurements the same way.

this size is pretty typical for LS430 aggressive fit, nothing new or surprising about it.

Perhaps the angle is decieving, but I don't think that's all of it. Take the fronts, for example. My 8.5" +43 offset wheels (post #6 in this thread)
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...ock-ls430.html
would just BARELY (if at all) tuck inside the fender when dropped as low as your car, yet yours with +22 offset appears to have about as much clearance as mine. Or the flip side, if my wheels protruded another 7/8ths of an inch (i.e. if my wheels had +22 offset), they wouldn't fit anything like yours.

I6 look at the specs on Mikes tires. That tells the story of his clearance, not to mention he is lower than you = more negative camber. If you replace your tires with the same width as mike + rolled fender lips, you will be surprised at how much clearance you have. Besides if I'm not mistaken there are some LS430's running front wheels with similar specs to your rears.

would go higher than 255 in the rear, and no higher than 235 for the fronts...my opinion
