My '04 UL w/PCS has developed a very annoying rattle within the right-side switches on the NAV. Placing a hand lightly on the switches makes it stop, yet it doesn't appear to be any of the buttons themselves. Anyone know what is in there that could rattle, and how to fix without pulling the nav unit?? Thanks for any insight.

The surround panel around the nav is held in by four clips. If the panel is removed a couple times hen the felt covering on the clips wears out or gets pulled off and the clips will rattle against the metal frame in the dash. Pull the surround off and cover the clips with a piece of electrical tape to make them snug and dampened from rattling.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. I've had the Nav out to install one of those Coastal units, maybe I messed something up. But the rattle started some time after that. I didn't know the surround came off separately.

Yeah, I misunderstood and thought the surround came off separately. I used a hook tool and pulled as hard as I dared, and it was not about to come off. So, I get to pull the nav back out. Sounds silly to go through all this, but the LS is so quiet otherwise it makes this rattle sound like a jackhammer!
