Question Musky smell from AC first 15 seconds?

Hey folks, I have a 2004 LS430 with ~65K miles on it.

Recently, when the car starts up, I get a nasty musky smell from my AC. Note I have a new air and cabin filter.

I've tried spraying Ozium in the intake, but with no success.

Any ideas? The smell is gone after 15 seconds or so...

Gotta be moisture or something to that effect. When using the AC, I always try to turn it off the AC and run the fans only before I get to my destination for that last minute or two to vent out the system. I've been told to do that from a mechanic years ago and I never had issues with moldy smell.

You may also need to replace the cabin air filter.

I can understand mildew or mold in FL, but this is unusual in AZ. Have you taken it to the dealer??

Yah I've already replaced both filters, and it is odd here in AZ. My guess is its being set on Recirc all the time is causing it to get some condensation. I'm going to try to let it run for 15-30m on fresh air and see if that clears it out. Ozium should have done it though...
