Thanks...I had done that part of it...I know there was somewhere that actually had a map sample, where you could literally enter an area and see the map changes (or not) for that area. That is how I determined not to upgrade to Rev 8. Perhaps it is not availble for this Rev yet. Unless someone else knows......
"I have seen lots of questions regarding map updates: are they worth it or not and does the map data include the new data I have been desperately looking for?
Well, I found a cool resource on the Lexus site that helps you figure out all of this information before you drop 300 of your hard-earned duckets on a new map disc.
1. Go to Lexus.com
2. Click the "Owners - My Lexus" link in the botton left of the Lexus page.
3. Log in to your My Lexus account.
4. Click on "Manage Vehicles".
5. In the Blue box at the top, click on the link "Navigation Map Feedback".
Here is the cool part!
-The "Release Notes" in PDF format tells you exactly what was changed for your area.
-The "Map Preview" selection lets you clunk around the new version to see if the map looks right.
-The "Submit Feedback" link allows you to report bad addresses roads or POI to the map people.
Hopefully, this will help you decide if the update is actually worth it!

Apparantly that functionality is not currently active.

Why would Lexus get rid of it? Every version of nav in every car has it. It's just to protect themselves. I've gottan so used to hitting the Agree button by now. Some idiot'll prob sue Lexus is they get into a car accident if that agree button is not there and they get into some accident.

I can't answer that question, because I got rid of the dreaded Agree button when I install a VaisTech SL2Vi this summer. It activates the Agree button after start up. Combined with the addition of an iPod tucked away in the glove box with full access to controls thru the ML system, it completes my music/video system in the car.
