Default Can you guys help me? Time to do the suspension..

Got a 2001 LS430. Its time to do the Suspension. The 20's took out the bushings.

The left front is clunking and now the Right Front is clunking on turns. The front end feels unsettled.

This is a Standard LS430. No adjustable suspension. I would guess I need lower and upper bushings? Struts and maybe strut mounts? Did you guys press in new bushings or just buy the complete arms?

Anyone have a source for the parts? The dealer here is outragous on cost. I figure you guys would know of a Vendor that would have quality parts at a good price.

What typicaly fails on these cars? Mine now has 120,000 on it. Running strong other then this

Thanks

I've never heard of the bushings going on an LS, so don't know what the replacement options are. Please keep us posted on what you find to be the cause and cure. Curious -- Is the car lowered, and if so, by what means?

About the only thing I've heard of failing on these cars (and the only thing that's failed on either of mine in about 120K total miles) is the side auto-fold mirrors if you leave it in auto-fold mode a lot. For normal use they seem to be very durable.

Good luck!
