Default Front Windshield fogging

Looking for some advice on my 2002 LS430. Was driving tonight here in New Jersey with the heat on a little. When on panel or bi-level mode the windshield was fogging up real bad. If i push the front windshield button it cleared the fog up immediately. The floor/windshield button works but not nearly as well or as quick as the front windshield button. When I've used the heat in the morning thru the panel mode i don't have the fogging problem. Has anyone else encountered this problem at night? Being a relatively new owner (since May 2009) looking for some pointers. What setting do you normally use for heating. Thanks for any advice. Jay

I find that a clean and dry window does not fog up as often. So my suggestion would be to clean your windows often and bone dry them

Was the fog on the inside or outside of the glass? If its on the inside something inside the car must have been wet and was letting off moisture. If its on the outside your car must have been cold (this only happens to me when I first get in my car in the morning). Either way, the windshield defroster mode will clear things up quicker than any other mode.

To reduce window fog, stop the recirculating of cabin air (bring in air from outside.)

Thanks for the tip. It's appreciated much more than the gratuitous comments from the comedian in Delaware.

I think you need to get laid or something. Hows that for gratuitous?
