hi guys,
as you know I am looking for a LS430 to buy instead of my wrecked 2001 LS430 UL.
I am looking between 2001-2003. my only condition is that the I am going to buy should has NAV, parking sensor, and radar cruise control.
I found these in 2001 , 02, and 03. with almost the same prices.
The BIG QUESTION IS.... does the year make a difference with the ride?
is 01, 02, and 03 have the same ride and smoothness with the driving??. OR 03 is better than 02, and 02 is better than 01.!!!?

I would just look up the reviews on each car and note model year changes. I beleive the drivetrain is the same and suspension also. I would think the tire size may be the only difference.

The main comments I've noticed have been related to whether or not an 01-03 LS430 has the "sport suspension" option. Some people who have test driven an LS430 with the standard suspension and "accidentally" bought one with the sport suspension option have been unhappy. The "sport suspension" includes many alterered components -- it's not practical to convert a sport suspension to a standard suspension.
Also, one can "mix and match" some options which can affect the ride. For example, here are variations affecting the ride for the 01 LS430:
1. standard 16" wheels on standard steel spring suspension
2. optional 17" wheels on standard steel spring suspension
3. sport suspension (steel springs) - includes 17" wheels
4. standard 16" wheels on air suspension
5. optional 17" wheels on air suspension
You can alter the model year in the following URL's to view all the suspension options:
