Wow this is crazy. Its almost 2010 and you wanna pay over $27000 for 04 LS?
I got my 04 ML LS at at the end of 2007 for $24500 with 56k miles on it. Two years later and you willing to pay more? I think that even UL should go for no more than 25k today. Get some one to take you to an auction in PA. I see that most of the dealers get their cars there and sell them for 5-7k more.

Factor in that CPO is basically a $2000-2500 extended warranty. I think Autolenders has a 3 year/75000 total mile warranty for like $1700 or so, that pretty much covers the same Lexus CPO items. You can check that out too. I would say to try to negotiate for a lower finance (if you financed) rate than just pure dollar up front.
The CPO program can factor in to be worth over 8k in value and benefits. First you have the 161 point inspection from a factory trained tech, most cars get brand new tire and brakes if wore over 50% and any other reconditioning that the car needs(paint, dents, interior, etc). Warranty on 3yrs up to 100k miles, bumber to bumper no deductable. Every CPO Lex gets new floor mats and assured that the car has everything(owners manual, all spare tire parts, and first aid kit is complete).
Hotel&food(3 nights @$200) rental car(5 days @ $50) if car is in the shop up to $850 worth...(each time in shop unlimited)......
Sorry, I can go on and on, but you get the point I think/hope...Yes the Lexus may be sometimes a few grand more than another dealership or person, but the value from it blows that initial price out of the water.

Just bought a 2004 Ultra Luxury with 103k for $14,000. My brother owns a dealership so I bought it at his wholesale price. It was a local trade with all service done by Lexus. Black/Black -- I assume it would retail near $17-18k
Dealers generally will mark up the car $3,000 after the repairs they put into the car. As for the list of cars sold at manheim - you do not know the condition of the car of any option packages it has so its hard to get a good read on prices from that.
