question: I want to change my wheels on my 02 ls430

I do have a question: I want to change my wheels on my 02 ls430 and am looking at a set now- However how worried do i have to be about the tpm system.

Can i manually shut it off? Does my year car even have it- Do i have to program the new wheels to the car? Please any help would be appreciated- joe

Also whats the first mod i should make to the car and then the second and third-lol

first mod should be lowering then wheels but your in pa so i'd say lower and then save money throughout the winter for a nice set of wheels in the spring

sensors should be able to be reused in your new wheels...

there are no sensors in the wheels... for my 04+ ls430, the way that 'tpms' works is that it measures the revolutions at each wheel... if there's ever a deviance from each other, the 'low tire' icon pops up and you have to figure out which one it is...

that's why you have to reset the switch each time you get new tires or rotate... check your user manual for exact directions on resetting...

i'm not sure if the 01-03 ls430 even has this so the point may be moot...

good luck.
