Default Anyone got their driver seat “upholstery” restored?

Overall I’m extremely pleased withy my recently acquired squeaky clean 04.

The only thing so far that bugs me a little is that the previous owner left his rear end real-estate print in the driver seat. My sorry **** is a bit bigger than his so it’s kind of trying to fit a round peg in a square hole. It does apply unpleasant pressure while seating.

Last time I bought used I had the same issue. I placed a reinforced seat cushion over and drove the car like that for about a year. One day, I forgot to put the cushion back after cleaning the car and notice the seat padding was now even, symmetric and no longer requiring the cushion to be comfortable.

Not sure I want to put that ugly thing in the 430 for a year. So I was wondering if any of you guys got the padding/stuffing restored. If yes, were you happy with the result and how much did you spend for it?

No, I'm not going to show you picture of my real-estate for cost estimation.

Default Seat restoration

I just had my Lexus dealer refurb my driver's seat and arm rest for a modest fee. They didn't do anything to the "cushion", but the seat and armrest look brand new.

Ask you dealer....I'll bet they know how to repair this.

if you were in the Jacksonville area, I could set you up with some one. He'd come to you and make the car look perfect too! Did some work for me and the car looks as good as new.

Thank you guys for the reply.

I'll ask the dealer first. As for Jackson, I'm 3000miles up North ;-)

Found couples of local places, I'll see what they have to propose.
There is so much going on inside these seats, I don't want to hand it over and then have mechanical or electrical problems.

I'll post an update if I decide to make a move.
