I'm pretty sure I kept the window sticker but can't find it right now.

If I remember correctly, the wheels upgrade from 16" alloy to 17" chrome was $1800.

I hope I can find that sticker. If not is the information recorded anywhere else?

Thanks,

Alan

OP subject off-------

It used to be $20/year. A brand new car we were able to register a car for 3 years for $60.

That was several years ago when the state's budget was in the black and not red. (DE is slightly overbudget..not like Cali or NY--about to go bankrupt..lol) The state jacked the registration fee from $20/year to $40/year. You can still register a car for multiple years..example, 2 year registration now will cost you $80.

I think Delaware has one of THE BEST managed and organized DMV systems. EVER expect to hear THAT about a state run anything!? The state operates several inspection facilities throughout the state, which are FREE to run your car through them. It's not like other states where you have to go to a gas station or "certified" inspection station where they RIP YOU OFF for tires, brakes, loose nuts & bolts, etc, and charge the customer $493 for an inspection..and you didn't even pay for the sticker yet..lol.

The state of Delaware has no underlying interest in selling you tires or brakes or emissions cleaner or a new muffler, etc, UNLIKE other states like PA. My best friend usually spends between $400-$600 a year registering his 2001 Altima each year because the gas station insists that x, y, and z is wrong with his car. It's literally blackmail and organized perfectly for corruption in a state who subcontracts out inspections, ironically, to a company who makes $$$ fixing cars!!!

Once you get a clean bill of health, you simply present the paperwork the "inspection lanes" printed out for you, to the unusually NICE DMV workers inside, and then pay $40 for 1 year or $80 for 2 years. No dumb sticker on the WINDSHIELD either! We only have 1 small sticker on the bottom right corner of the license plate. Sorry..no doughnuts or coffee like the Lexus dealer..lol, but there are tons of seats and a computerized # system so you can see your turn to be served. I have to admit, 95% of the DMV people are on their game--knowledgable!
Ever see anyone get excited in a GOOD way about their state's DMV!? lol

PM me if you want more info.

Are you having ideas about moving down here?

PS....I'm coming up to Syracuse this weekend!
