Burnt tranny fluid smell...anyone have tanny problems?

Only 4 qts of WS? Are you sure they completely exchanged the fluid? I know the 4.7L V8 in my 5spd LX takes 12 qts (tranny pan takes 3 qts, rest is in the torque converter). I would have expected at least 5 qts. Heck, the 116hp 4-banger in my '86 Toyota 4x4 truck took 3 qts, and that was a manual tranny. Automatics usually take like 2x as much fluid as a similar manual.

i looked up amsoil and it states for 2001-03:
Automatic Transmission, A650E Initial Fill..........2 quarts
Automatic Transmission, 5 speed A650E Total Fill..........9.5 quarts
for the later model it states:
Automatic Transmission, A761E Initial Fill..........3.2 quarts
Automatic Transmission, 6 speed A761E Total Fill..........11.6 quarts

sounds like a drain and fill if it was 4 quarts. one box (12 quarts) cost me $50 from toyota.
