today I had my time belt, waterpump, sepertine belt & oil changed.
I had it done at the local TOYOTA dealer.
I left the car at 09:12 and they called me at 10:40 to say the intake needs to be cleaned and the injectors too. I told them to do it and change oil. I planed on doing my own oil change after the new year (it had 3850mi between changes)
the org quote for the belts and pump out the door= $680
now add oilchange and intake cleaners.

the lexus dealers within 60miles wanted $960+tax just for the belts and pump

other toyota dealers wanted $900

got a call at 14:33 saying I was misquoted on the t/b repair by $100 but because I was quoted a price last week it will remain. car ready at 15:00

this dealer did a carwash, inside cleaning, windows and rotate tires. said I did not need to be charged for coolant due to not much of a loss during work!!!!!!!!!!!!!


they told me it was time to redo my tranny flush and do the plugs. ($250 with my plugs)
the car a 2003 black ultra w/ 84k

Almost a months pay but I'm so happy with this dealer.
the total cost $901.01

i was quoted from my toyota deal in lancaster, the whole timming belt and and water pumpo deal $813 out the door- The lexus dealer said 1550

 

My local Lexus dealer wanted $1800 with water pump. The local Toyota $850, same parts, go figure.

 

toyota tech is cheaper than lexus tech
