Congratulations! Very nice. Like someone mentioned, if you want to get those minor nicks touched up professionally, it'll look near perfect. Flint is my favorite color on the LS, and BTW, it surprisingly does not show dirt much at all, so it's actually a great color for your wife daily driving. Welcome aboard!

That's good to know for my search. But I don't dare tell my flint-loving wife because I wouldn't be able to consider mercury or any other color. She really wishes it came with blue leather, though.

on monday, i bringing the ls to lexus of memphis to get the mirror and fuel door light look at. hopefully it'll get taken care of without issue since car is still in warranty.

This is normal. If you flip it over to the manual gate, it shows a 5 which is the highest gear it'll shift into. It will start from a dead stop in 1st and shift thorough normally to 5th. If you flip it down to 4th, it'll stop at 4th. The manual shift thingee is basically a device that limits the transmission to the highest indicated gear. Sorry for the sketchy explanation -- just have a second to write it...

My wife drop the car at the lexus of memphis and had a good experience. A well dressed service consultant ask for the complaint list and he went to check it out.
My problems was:
1) L side mirror does not move up.
2) Fuel door light stayed on.
3) Transmission Shift **** was hard to move and a piece of plastic is missing down the shaft.
4) Windshield noise at high speed.

As it turn out, they fix the L mirror with a new one.
Fuel door light is normally always on. It tells drive the side the fuel cap is on Left vs right (you guys in forum should have told me this. ). windshield noise is normal (wind cutting through the car). Last they have to order a new manual shift plate. All was convered under warranty.

Overall my wife had a Lexus experience like no other. We are debating on getting the extended platinum warranty because of the wonderful experience.

Seriously, didn't know you were talking about the normal indicator.
Depends upon how loud it is. A few owners have had this "issue" while most of us feel that the car is as quiet, wind noise wise, as anything we've ever driven.

Let us know how this turns out. My car works like I wrote above, as does a couple others that I've test driven and used the "manual" shift mode, so I'm wondering if anything will change. Or if I misunderstood your car's "symptoms."
