I apologize for not having pictures to add at this point, but I will have some later.
I just purchased from my dad his 2001 LS430. It is dark blue with about 93,000 mostly highway miles. Paid, well making payments, for $12,000 which I hope he gave me a decent deal, lol.
He upgraded to an 06 LS430, so now we have two in the family.
I fell in love with this car when I first saw it. Then when I rode in it, it felt like I was riding on a cloud. Then when I drove it, I felt luxury defined.
I have a 1993 Acura Legend sedan, and still own it. It was luxurious in it's day, but I had been wanting a new car for a while. I was undecided for a long time, as I wanted something luxurious, but something quick. It didn't have to be super luxury, but just with newer and nicer technology than my Legend. I had narrowed it down to the TL, 350Z, and the LS430/IS300/GS430 in my range.
With nothing really coming up, and my inability to decide, nothing happened until my dad said he was selling his 01 to get an 06. So I jumped on it. Something about a big luxurious sedan appeals to me more than power and speed, since you can spend little on a cheap Honda and get that.
So that all is the backstory, and I love the car. I also have a huge love for the VIP style. Pictures of VIPed LS's have made me look foward to this car even more.
So far I haven't done anything in terms of modifications, and I want to take small steps since I am young and still paying it off for a while.
I will first probably be putting in yellow bulbs in the fog lights, I love that look. Which bulbs go in the fog lights, sorry I haven't looked into that and figure someone can provide a quick answer.
Down the road I want to put in the new headlights, and change out the tail lights as well. Do I need to change out the whole front/rear to do this?
Farther down I'd like to get into VIP look with clean body modification, some nice wheels, and nice exhaust. I love the look of the newer exposed exhaust. Can I lower the car and put new wheels while still keeping the soft and great driving of the LS? I'm not sure if I will touch the engine, but I'd like to get a full exhaust and intake.
Oh, and I can't lie, the prospect of forced induction is very intriguing although pricey and I don't want to compromise the reliability.
I hope to learn alot and get some inspiration, sorry for the long post/questions, but I figure I'd get it all out. Pictures to come later.
