So my navigation was working fine and recently it keeps saying searching for disc.... and after a while it will say "Can not read disc" or " No Disc Found"

But it does work sometimes but sometimes it does that....

Does it sound like a serious issue that I have to bring into the dealer or can I do something else myself before I bring it in?

Or maybe just upgrade to the latest version of the software to fix it?? Is it even worth paying for that upgraded softwear cuz I think its quite expensive,right?


Oh, Does anyone know where I can find the modification where I can make the navigation screen also a DVD monitor/player? Will adding that mod also fix my problem?

Either your Disc is going bad (unlikely) or your reader is. However its easier to check and see if the disc is scratched and maybe even buy a lens cleaner kit (a CD used to clean the laser lens.)

You can read a few mods to the audio/video department in the FAQ thread located on top of the LS430 forum.
