White or Yellow fogs
I just replaced my headlight bulbs and after I finished I realized my driver side fog light was out also so now I have to decide what bulb to put in. Out of convenience I'll probably stick with halogen although HID's look nice. My question is what color should I go. Yellow is the most functional and also kinda classic looking but I don't know what they would look like on a Lexus. If anyone has any pictures or suggestions it'd be appreciated.

there are a couple ls's on this board with yellow fogs... they look nice and i am debating changing out my 6k fog bulbs with either that white hid kit or some yellow ones... i miss my old yellow ones from my gs400 (stock yellow fog bulbs). that is a tough one

I still have to stock foglights and I was thinking of changing to a more pure white or blue white bulb....I dont want to go with HID's so is there a bulb that I can change that would give me the closest thing to that bright white or HID look? I dont really want to buy a whole HID kit ...I just prefer to just replace the bulb that came with the car....
If not then I might go with the yellow bulbs also

The yellows are old school, but good school. I really don't know which is more functional, but I like the white light cast, not the yellow, so I vote for white 4300K to blend in with the stock HID bulbs.

Traditionally, yellow was used for fog lamps because it was thought to reflect less off the fog and penetrate more. I also like the looks of the yellow fog lamp. BTW, does France still require yellow headlights?
Here's one person's learned-sounding explanation that there is no rationale for yellow:

Living in AZ, I've never used my fog lights. Just went out and got familiar with them. Didn't even know how to turn them on. My fogs are yellow, don't appear to be nearly as bright as those shown in above photos.
I bought my UL as CPO three years ago. Did the 04 come with yellow as OEM? Am I original or did the original owner change them? What do you think?
