Default Does anyone know what this is?

Im trying to get some help on Identifying what this part is.
its from an 2002 LS430 its from the front of the car under the hood, not exactly sure where (it has no part# on it) ...any help is appreciated

Seems to be the ballast or transformer for the HID(high intensity discharge) headlight system if im not mistaken. I could be wrong.

I'm going to guess it's the NAV antenna. The little stub on the roof is actually not the NAV antenna. The NAV antenna is in the front of car near the firewall. The black top to me looks like the external antennas for NAV units.

This is why I don't do my own work on my cars. I always have parts left over, and higher blood pressure, and thrown tools.

Very true... I once took the dash off my Intergra to get some radio work done. Once I was finished and dash put back in... I was left with two screws and no idea where they were to go. I still have the screws in my coin tray for when I have to remove the dash again for any reason.

i had the same issue on my old honda integra from installing a head unit and some door speakers,, never did figure out where those extra screws were supposed to go but they rattled around in my ashtray for a year before i sold the car.

ya'll think thats somethin a female friend of mine asked me to come to the shop that rebuilt the head of her engine ...i get there & the so called "mechanic" had like 8 or 9 bolts left over!!!! that was supposed to be in or around her engine!! i was like WTF i wouldnt pay for that if i wee you!!
