I have a 2003 LS with Nav and Lexus Link. I know the Lexus Link was analog and we are now in the digital age. My Lexus Link has not been disconnected. Is there any way to get a bluetooth connection using the nav screen and through the car speakers?

This doesn't integrate with your NAV but allows you to hear your calls through the cars speakers... An inexpensive alternative.

These two units are purely standalone but are very highly rated...

I think integration with your existing NAV screen would be pretty expensive...

It's not difficult to install an aftermarket Bluetooth kit. One won't integrate with your nav but will automatically mute your radio when a call is made or received. Most allow voice dialing. Here is a thread about installing a Parrot Bluetooth kit in an 01 LS430: http://us.lexusownersclub.com/forums...howtopic=34849
Jainla hardwired his Parrot kit but there are interface adapters for Parrot and other kits at http://www.quickconnectproducts.com/ that should make installation quite a bit easier. Using an external speaker usually simplifies the installation -- there is plenty of room under the dash for one.

I looked in to this and think that deep integration is a waste of money. the reason is that the technology advances so fast that the integrated systems will always be obsolete.
My setup in my 2001 LS430 is :
.Motorola Droid phone
.Motorola Droid mount
.Jabra Cruiser speaker phone
With this setup you will be able to
. Listen to MP3s
. Listen to Internet Radio
. Realtime Navigation with Traffic
. Audio integrated with stereo through a powerful FM transmitter
. Phone calls are perfectly integrated with music
. Voice navigation of the droid is second to none
I hope in the future, the integrated display could have deep integration with smart phones so that all the features of these phones could be delivered on the car's display. This way smart phone advancement would be immediately available in our cars.
Does anyone know if the integrated display can take an auxiliary input?
