How Did I Do?

How Did I Do?
I've been looking for a car for my sister for a while because her van is biting the dust. Well, yesterday I found her one and we went to the dealership. She purchased an 05 LS430 with 57,000 miles. It is silver with grey leather interior, Nav/Mark Levinson/Backup camera. It has the upgraded 18 inch sport wheels. The interior is pristine, looks brand new, no noticeable seat wear on the bolsters or anything. I've never seen an interior so clean, even down to the mats, you would think it is an 08 or 09. The exterior had normal scuffs for a 5 year old car, but nothing terrible. There is a small dent on the fender in by the passenger side headlight that the dealership said could not be removed with dent removal process. Other than that, it looks great. Got it from a Ford dealership, 2 owner car no accidents and was serviced regularly at Lexus dealerships from the carfax report. She got the car for $23942, plus she paid and extra $2,000 for a 2 year Ford warranty that covers drivetrain and electronics and is good at any Lexus dealership. So she came out at around $26,000 including the warranty.
How did I do? Would you say that i got her a great deal? Pics below:

Tell us more about this Ford warranty. What is the mileage limitation? Does "electronics" coverage include nav, ML, and other non-engine / transmission electronics? The price sounds OK, but I question the value of the warranty.

Pole Position
"Retail" for that car, if you believe Kelley, is around $28k (minus the dent/etc.) with no extended warranty, so I'd say you did well. A lot depends on the local market.

You would have probably saved them $2K. I haven't heard of a non-CPO used car warranty that was worth much of anything - except additional dealer profit. I hope your sister is happy with the car and never needs to use the warranty.

Congrats on the new wheels! I don't care about the price paid, but I do want to hear more about your sister. Is she single?
A girl/woman behind the wheel of an LS430 is a huuuuge turn on!
And to go from a "van" to an LS430? You're such a good brother!

If he and his sister were joined by his brother-in-law, one would assume she is married.
On corvetteforum, a thread like this would have about a dozen posts reading something like "Pics of sister?"

I was absorbed with the thought of a female behind the wheel of a "normally" male-driven Lexus.

At least she wasn't "ripped off", that's all it matters.
Don't have her worry too much about it. Otherwise, she might not get to enjoy the LS to have that thought linger in her mind.
Also, like what thinkin said, it could be a regional market so you bargain all you want and the if selections are slim, then you don't have a choice unless you do what caddyowner did by having one shipped across from the other side of the continent

Correct, sis is married.
And this was a big step up for her, considering her van that she is coming from was a Kia Sedona!!
I'm glad for her that she was able to get a nice ride that was under her original budget. She told me she paid less for this LS430 than she did for her Kia brand new
