Default Awesome handling from my ls430 upgrade.

I have a UL and have been extremely unhappy with the suspension handling.
I had no repair issues but the handling was so bad. So i decided to take the jump on the BC racing Coilovers. All I can simply say is that these things have made me fall back in love with the ls430.

I can confidently say that this thing can out handle a bmw 750. Infact the 750 does'nt come close with this upgrade. I live in brooklyn and use the stock 17 inch wheels. so it is still comfortable but far more stable.

It is simply amazing what coilovers can do.

now imagine on some 19's with low pros. it is a little harsher but its hard to remember i'm in the same car when i come up on some corners or curves in the car (same bc's here too on a UL)... glad your diggin' it.

So lets get this right. even when you lower(data or ss kit ss pro) the ul with air it still handles fair. But if you get coil over it handles totally better. Just wandering since both of you guys swaped from air to coil. Cause the parts are xpensive on the ul air to fix is that why so many people are converting or just because the coilovers handle best period. just venting

the air susp feels like a pillow compared to the bc coilovers but a pillow does not handle very well. i converted since i didn't want to pay for the oem rear air susp struts to get repaired since it would have likely been $3000+ for the rears at best case scenario. i paid about $1300 with labor to swap to the bc coilovers and already made back about $500 by selling the dsc (controller). if i can sell my ss kit and at least 1 front oem strut i will have effectively broken even.

it sounds like the original OP (what does this stand for?) just wanted better handling and didn't have to make the switch. i loved the ul air susp feel, don't get me wrong, i just didn't like it $3000 worth and that doesn't even guarantee that the fronts won't go out sometime later down the road or the rears again at say 120k miles since i was only at 60k when the rear first started going out. i am guessing that the dsc puts 'a lot' of added stress on these components and likely makes them fail a lot sooner.

Default so true sojah

I made the swap not because there was a fault mechanically speaking but strictly for the handling. The removed air shocks are boxed up nicely in the garage. The handling brings a smile to my face every time i change lanes at 90-100 miles an hour or take a ramp. its just unbelievable that a UL could do these things with such total composure.

^ ^ ^ what are you guy's definition of ride quality? it feels more like a gs now than an ls for starters (in my opinion). would you say that is better ride quality or worse ride quality??
