I just got my 03 LS430, the car is nice, runs good feels great, but problem with the Navi screen, it doesn't respond at all, and when i try to press the AC or Audio botton around it, it won't change the screen at all, basically it just stays on the warning screen where I have to press Accept to go into the Map screen.
Also my AC displace right on top of the navi screen stays black also, anyone know what is wrong there?
I am going to take to a local lexus dealer get it checked out, but i don't wanna pay $1000s to fix that before I know if there's any other way I can fix it myself.
One other issue is my left mirror when I press up it doesn't go up, it will move left, right, down but not up on the adjustment control, the right mirror works just fine thou. weird.
everything else seems working fine.
Anyone can give me some suggestions on what should I do please?

As to navi and climate screen, see if any fuses need to be changed. For the mirror, I had the same thing and wound up buying one off ebay. I got lucky because the color matched so I didn't have to repaint it.

So I have to replace the whole mirror? Even thou everything works except the up bottom?

 

Pop off the mirror control panel and clean the contacts. I had the same problem recently and the dealer replaced the whole panel.

 

I also thought it was the switch contacts but turned out to be a mirror itself. Yeah, it could be a swich too (it totally slipped my mind actually). Thanks for reminding me.

 

But if it's te control, then right side should have the same problem right?
Cause the right side is working just fine. Oh and when I put in reverse, the mirror tilt down and there's no problem for them to go back up either.
My biggest concern still the controls for the navi and I can't see what's on the AC screen cause it stays black

 

I had the same problem with my 02 for the NAVI screen, I had the dealer check up and they told me the screen was bad and need to change it, they want to charge me $2000 for the whole, I end up found one through ebay on the NAVI screen, bid it with $300.00,and I had someone to replace it for $100.00, after switch the the whole thing, it worked just fine. and then I sold my old one( not worked) for $200 to some CL memeber who needs some of the parts. it worked out great for me, since it only cost me $200total with the buy and sell plus the install. I am not sure it will the same for yours, just let u know my experience. U can try to find it through ebay, most of them are asked for $600-$900, I was luck to get it for $300. Good luck to you.

 

thanks for the input, I will take the car to a dealer get it looked at tomorrow.
Hopefully it won't cost too much and I don't have to switch anything because that means I can't drive the car for a few days, and I really enjoying driving it.
I will take a look on Ebay too and see what I can find.
