Need help identifying part behind rear seat
Can anyone help me identify where this part goes? I found it under the rear passenger seat (after I removed the seats).
Backstory: Using the guide at https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...-01-03-ul.html, I removed my rear seats to diagnose the subwoofer buzzing. Last year, I noticed that 1 of the 4 pegs holding the subwoofer cover was missing. I also noticed that every time I took a hard turn, something on the rear deck would slide around. I found this peg under rear tray, which likely caused the subwoofer buzzing. The rear sunshade also buzzes on certain bass notes and volumes.
I've examined the both while sub taken out and while in the car playing music and could not see or hear any problems with the foam edge surround or with the cone. For those with a damaged surround, I recommend purchasing and installing a new surround (ie. http://reconekits.com/jbltoyota86160...msurround.aspx). This should hold better and sound closer to spec than hot glue/silicone/etc.
I also removed the rear solar sensor cover (driver side rear deck vent) by accident over a year ago, and the sensor itself fell under. I fixed that while I had the rear deck off.
Thanks for your help!
