I have the same creaking noise too. 04 UL 90k miles. at the shop now for service. I'll report back with findings. I first noticed it when I am parallel parking and turning the wheel sharply to get in the spot.

 

It turned out to be a torn lower control arm bushing. They replaced both under the CPO warranty.

 

hmm...the bushings weren't it. It's still making this weird creaking noise when i'm parallel parking. maybe it's in the steering somewhere...
i need to get this figured out before my warranty is up in 10k miles!!

 

Have you tried "jouncing" each of the four corners of your car to try and create the noise? If you can reduce your hunt down to one corner or another it will help. Also, ball joints will creak and grind (think dry sockets) when turning as in parallel parking.
