So my battery died yesterday because I left the door open all night. Foolish yes, but regardless, the radio will not turn on. I have read several places that I may need to enter a code to get it to work... SEC code I believe. The dealer wants $75 to do this, but I am wondering if this code is located somewhere or if there is a universal code ie 1234 that will get it working. I checked the fuses to make sure that was not the issue and they are all in working condition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think 1994 was the last model year that a US spec Lexus radio had a security code. Have you checked the radio fuses in both the under-dash and engine compartment fuse boxes?

I ran the battery down on my 04 but AAA jump got me going with no effect on the radio.
Other people on this forum comment about disconnecting the battery to reset the computer and none have mentioned having to do anything to the radio.

Well I have had to get a jump before, but the radio never stopped working. I have checked all the fuses shown in the manual related to the audio system. I believe there was 3 or 4.
I have read on other places online that how long the battery is dead may have an impact on this issue. Mine was dead for over 24 hours.
I called the dealer and they said that the radio sometimes stops working if battery is dead but he never specified details. He did say that the tech would have to work on getting the code and it would take about half hour or so. I think the code is related to the serial number on the CD player itself.
