Im new to the LS, dont know much about them. I have found two that Im interested in.

04 with 55k miles on it, I dont think its the UL, it has most of the normal stuff, nav, heated/ cooled seats, etc. $19500

or

03 UL with 70k miles on it, I think it was $20,000

What does one have over the other, Im leaning towards the lower mileage 04. Im not even sure of the difference between the 2 years.

Subtle but significant differences between 03 and 04. I'd get the 04 with lower miles.

search more u might come across even more threads.....price 01-03 are better but shape i personally like 04 up more.. also slight change in tranny...

what package does the 04 have?? modern luxury?? custom??

04 with CL package. Check to make sure. It is almost always better to buy post facelift and it is true in this case. The 03 is overpriced anyway.

Go for the 04. I just went from a 95 LS 400 to an 01 LS 430. The jump was significant because the engine in my 01 was introduced in 98. A mid life cycle change through that generation year. So the 04 refreshen won't be as significant as it was in 98, but the 04 can only be better.
UNLESS your going to ride in the back seat, then go for the Vibrating rear seats and the refrigerator of the the UL package in the 03.

I would take the 2004 for sure! The better styling of the 2004 and you don't want the troublesome air suspension of a UL.

the 04 will have adaptive headlights (they move when you turn) and two additional airbags (knee). The tranny also increased the 0-60 over the 2003s. Don't look back!

The 04 looks better!!! I had a 03 and sold it to get the different body style. I have no regrets.

I was in your similiar situation, I took my '04CL (fair price) over an '02UL (great price) after much research and I have not looked back. Love the '04-'06 changes.
