Default Suspension conversion

Okay, here is the deal. I've made the leap of faith to the megan coilovers and yes the look is awesome. However can someone tell me why i'm getting the scrubbing in the front and for some reason squeaking in the front end while driving slow. Any info will be much appreciated LS family

What do you mean by "scrubbing"? I have megans also but no noise at all.

If there is a dip in the road while driving the front tires will scrub, and the squeaking seems to have to have something to do with the suspension because i never heard it until the conversion.

could it be that your car is either way to low now since the coils or in addition could your wheels be really big?? just a thought when i first put had coils put on mines i had to raise it an inch like a week later cuz i was scrapping everywhere and i even managed to almost catch a fender while turning and hitting a bump going into the entrance to a driveway,, so yeah maybe raise it up a little.

what size wheels are you running front and back and can you show us a pic as to how low it actually is?

congrats by the way.

+1 on wut sojah said. Or maybe stiffen up your shocks in the front or maybe even have the fenders pulled if u like the height you are at now.

Squeaking might be due to oils/grease or other matter on the brake rotor that got there while the suspension was pulled apart. It should go away with time if that's the case, or you can spray brake cleaner or acetone on the rotors. Be sure to keep the stuff from flying into the wheels though as it may damage the paints or coating.

As for the tires hitting/scrubbing, be sure to locate exactly where its making the contact. ON LS430, its usually the upper front of the inner fender lip, or the front and rear of the inner wheel well dust shield on the body. Once located, you can take measures to remove the section, change wheel/tire combination, or modify the body. Don't drive too long on severe conditions of tire contacting the body. I've seen inner wheel covers and fender trims shave tires or fall off doing more damage much more expensive.
